Ingredients
- Fresh radishes: 1/2 pound, washed
- Olive oil spray: For coating
- Garlic powder: 3/4 teaspoon
- Onion powder: 3/4 teaspoon
- Sea salt: 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
Instructions
- Preheat:
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F.
- Slice radishes:
- Remove the stems and roots from the radishes, then slice the radishes into 1/8-inch thick pieces using a sharp knife or a mandoline.
- Season slices:
- Arrange the radish slices in a single layer on a baking sheet and add a light coating of olive oil cooking spray over them. You can also gently brush them with olive oil using a pastry brush. Sprinkle the garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, and black pepper over the radish slices. Toss the sliced radishes to make sure they are fully coated in oil and seasonings.
- Air fry:
- Arrange the radish slices in a single layer inside the air fryer basket, making sure not to overlap them. If necessary, cook them in batches to ensure all the slices cook evenly. Cook for 8–10 minutes or until lightly brown around the edges and crispy, tossing or flipping the radishes halfway through.
- Cool:
- When finished, place the radish slices in a single layer on a cooling rack and allow them to rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes
- Make sure your radish slices are around 1/8 inches thick or slightly thicker to prevent them from breaking during the cooking process
- Leave the skin on the radishes for extra crispiness
- If you are working in batches, they might take less time to cook on the second and third batch

Frequently Asked Questions
- → How thin should I slice the radishes?
Slice radishes about ⅛-inch thick for optimal crispness and even cooking. A mandoline helps ensure uniform thickness.
- → Can I use different seasonings?
Yes, you can personalize the flavor with spices like smoked paprika, chili powder, or dried herbs based on preference.
- → Why are my radish chips not crispy?
Ensure slices are not overlapping and thin enough. Allow chips to cool on a rack for 5 minutes post-cooking to crisp up.
- → Do I need to peel the radishes?
No, keeping the skin adds extra texture and helps the chips crisp better during cooking.
- → Can I store leftover radish chips?
Yes, let them cool completely and store in an airtight container for 1–2 days. Reheat in the air fryer for best texture.
