# What You’ll Need to Cook:

→ Shrimp

01 - 500 g raw large shrimp, peeled and deveined (thawed if frozen)

→ Marinade

02 - 60 ml hoisin sauce
03 - 30 ml raw honey
04 - Zest of 1 lemon
05 - 30 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
06 - 3 g kosher salt
07 - 1 g freshly ground black pepper
08 - 2 cloves garlic, finely minced (optional)

→ Garnish

09 - 15 g fresh cilantro, chopped
10 - Lemon wedges, for serving

# Steps to Prepare:

01 - In a large bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, honey, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and garlic if using until thoroughly combined.
02 - Add shrimp to the marinade, tossing to coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes and up to 4 hours.
03 - Thread 4–5 marinated shrimp onto each skewer, piercing through the head and tail so shrimp are secure. If desired, alternate with vegetables such as bell pepper or mushroom.
04 - Preheat an outdoor grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grate. Place skewers on the grill and cook for 3 minutes per side or until shrimp are pink, opaque, and lightly charred.
05 - Heat oven broiler on high. Arrange skewers in a single layer on a greased baking tray. Broil for 4 minutes, turning halfway through, until shrimp are opaque.
06 - Preheat air fryer to 200°C. Arrange shrimp skewers in a single layer. Cook for 6 minutes, flipping halfway through.
07 - Remove cooked shrimp skewers from the heat. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with lemon wedges.

# Extra Cooking Tips:

01 - For extra flavor, marinate the shrimp for up to 4 hours, but not longer to prevent mushy texture from lemon juice.
02 - Add mushrooms, bell peppers, or onions between shrimp on skewers for more flavor and color.
03 - Overcooking will result in tough, rubbery shrimp. Remove from heat as soon as shrimp are opaque and pink.
04 - For a spicy variation, add 15 ml Sriracha or 1 teaspoon chili oil to marinade.
05 - Garnish alternatives include sesame seeds, green onions, or Thai basil.
