Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Reserve 120 ml of pasta water before draining.

Combine avocado flesh, garlic, fresh basil, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a food processor or high-speed blender. Blend until smooth and creamy, adding reserved pasta water as needed to adjust consistency.

Return drained pasta to the pot or transfer to a large bowl. Pour avocado sauce over pasta and toss thoroughly to coat evenly. Add more reserved pasta water if sauce is too thick.

Taste the pasta and adjust seasoning with additional lemon juice, salt, or olive oil as desired.

Serve immediately, garnished with optional Parmesan, extra basil, freshly cracked black pepper, or sautéed garlic slices.
