# What You’ll Need to Cook:

→ Base

01 - 450 g pizza dough, store-bought or homemade, at room temperature

→ Sauce and Toppings

02 - 240 ml thick tomato sauce, store-bought or homemade
03 - 120-180 g shredded mozzarella cheese
04 - 10 to 20 slices of cured or pre-cooked chorizo sausage, mild or spicy
05 - Olive oil, for brushing
06 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano, optional
07 - 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder, optional
08 - Fresh basil leaves or parsley, for garnish, optional

# Steps to Prepare:

01 - Preheat oven to 245°C. Place pizza stone inside if using and allow it to heat fully.
02 - On a floured surface, roll out pizza dough to desired thickness. Place on a pizza peel if available, or transfer to parchment-lined or lightly greased baking sheet.
03 - Spread tomato sauce evenly over dough, leaving a small border for the crust. Evenly distribute shredded mozzarella over sauce. Arrange chorizo slices on top of cheese.
04 - Lightly brush crust edge with olive oil. Sprinkle dried oregano and garlic powder over pizza if using.
05 - Bake on pizza stone for 10–12 minutes or on baking sheet for 12–15 minutes, until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly with light browning.
06 - Remove from oven and allow to cool slightly. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley as desired. Slice into 8 pieces and serve immediately.

# Extra Cooking Tips:

01 - Ensure pizza dough is at room temperature for easy handling and rolling.
02 - Use a thick tomato sauce to prevent sogginess. Reduce by simmering if necessary.
03 - Opt for cured or pre-cooked chorizo slices for best results; avoid raw uncooked sausage.
04 - Adjust cheese quantity and add cheeses like cheddar or provolone for variation.
