# Required Ingredients:

→ Pasta

01 - 300 g dried lasagna sheets

→ Meat Sauce

02 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
03 - 1 medium yellow onion, diced
04 - 225 g Italian sausage, casings removed
05 - 225 g lean ground beef
06 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
07 - 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
08 - 1 teaspoon onion powder
09 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
10 - 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
11 - 700 ml marinara sauce

→ Cheese Mixture

12 - 400 g ricotta cheese
13 - 1 large egg
14 - 180 g mozzarella cheese, divided
15 - 90 g parmesan cheese, divided
16 - 2 tablespoons dried parsley

# Step-by-Step Instructions:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the lasagna sheets according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside to prevent sticking.
02 - Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté diced onion for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add Italian sausage and lean ground beef, cook until browned and no longer pink. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain excess fat. Season the mixture with seasoned salt, onion powder, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
03 - In a small bowl, whisk the egg, then mix with ricotta cheese, 60 g of mozzarella, 30 g of parmesan, and dried parsley until smooth and fully combined.
04 - Spread a thin layer of prepared meat sauce at the bottom of a 23 x 33 cm baking dish. Arrange enough lasagna sheets to cover the base. Spread a portion of the ricotta mixture over the noodles. Add another layer of meat sauce. Repeat layers, finishing with a layer of meat sauce on top.
05 - Scatter the remaining 120 g mozzarella and 60 g parmesan evenly over the top layer of sauce.
06 - Cover the baking dish securely with aluminum foil. Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C for 35 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 10 minutes until the cheese is melted, golden, and bubbling.
07 - Remove from the oven and allow to rest for 10-15 minutes. Slice and serve warm.

# Handy Cooking Tips:

01 - Allowing the lasagna to rest before slicing helps the layers set and produces clean portions.
02 - Starting with a layer of meat sauce at the bottom prevents noodles from sticking.
03 - Balancing the amount of ricotta mixture and meat filling ensures moisture and robust flavor.
04 - Covering with foil while baking traps steam, resulting in tender pasta and even heating. Uncover for a golden, bubbling cheese finish.
