Combine ground beef, pork, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic, parsley, nutmeg, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix until combined without overworking.

Form the mixture into 1.5-inch balls and place them on a plate.

Heat 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. Brown meatballs in batches for 6–8 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Peel and chop the potatoes. Boil in salted water for 15–20 minutes until tender. Drain and mash with butter, cream, salt, and pepper until smooth.

Melt butter in the same skillet. Stir in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes. Gradually whisk in broth and cream. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened. Season to taste.

Plate mashed potatoes, top with meatballs, and spoon over gravy. Garnish with parsley if desired.
