Juicy Steak Creamy Garlic (Printer-Friendly Version)

Tender seared steak paired with a smooth, garlicky cream sauce for a flavorful meal.

# Required Ingredients:

→ Steak

01 - 1 ribeye or strip steak (approximately 250-300 grams)
02 - Salt, to taste
03 - Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
04 - 15 ml olive oil
05 - 15 grams unsalted butter

→ Creamy Garlic Sauce

06 - 15 grams unsalted butter
07 - 2 garlic cloves, minced
08 - 120 ml beef broth
09 - 120 ml heavy cream
10 - 30 grams grated Parmesan cheese
11 - 5 grams fresh parsley, chopped
12 - Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

# Step-by-Step Instructions:

01 - Pat the steak dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a cast iron skillet over medium-high heat. When hot, sear the steak for 3 to 4 minutes per side until medium-rare or your preferred doneness. During the last minute, add butter and continuously spoon the melted butter over the steak. Remove and let rest.
02 - Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in beef broth, scraping the pan to deglaze and release browned bits.
03 - Slowly whisk in heavy cream and allow the sauce to simmer gently for 3 to 4 minutes, thickening slightly. Add grated Parmesan and stir until melted and smooth. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
04 - Slice the rested steak and spoon the warm creamy garlic sauce generously over the top. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

# Handy Cooking Tips:

01 - For an even crust on the steak, ensure the pan and oil are hot before adding the meat.
02 - Use a meat thermometer to achieve precise doneness, aiming for 57°C for medium-rare.
03 - If the sauce thickens too much during reheating, add a splash of cream or broth to loosen it.
