Using a melon baller or small measuring spoon, scoop the watermelon into small balls and transfer to a large mixing bowl.

Cut the jicama into cubes similar in size to the watermelon balls. Slice the cucumber into 0.5 cm rings, then quarter each ring. Add both to the mixing bowl.

Pour lime juice over the watermelon, jicama, and cucumber mixture. Toss gently to coat all pieces with juice.

Thread one watermelon ball, one jicama cube, and two cucumber quarters onto each toothpick or small skewer, alternating the order as desired.

Arrange the prepared skewers or fruit pieces on a serving plate. Dust lightly with chili powder. Garnish with serrano pepper rings and, if desired, drizzle with a splash of hot sauce.
