Healthy Mexican Fruit Snacks (Printer-Friendly)

Fresh watermelon, jicama, and cucumber mixed with lime and chili for a light, spicy Mexican-inspired treat.

# What You’ll Need to Cook:

→ Produce

01 - 1/4 medium watermelon, scooped into small balls
02 - 1 jicama, peeled and cut into small cubes
03 - 1 medium cucumber, sliced into 0.5 cm rings and quartered
04 - 2-3 serrano peppers, thinly sliced into rings (optional; substitute with jalapeños for milder heat)

→ Seasonings

05 - Juice of 2-3 limes
06 - Chili powder, for dusting
07 - Hot sauce, splash (optional)

# Steps to Prepare:

01 - Using a melon baller or small measuring spoon, scoop the watermelon into small balls and transfer to a large mixing bowl.
02 - Cut the jicama into cubes similar in size to the watermelon balls. Slice the cucumber into 0.5 cm rings, then quarter each ring. Add both to the mixing bowl.
03 - Pour lime juice over the watermelon, jicama, and cucumber mixture. Toss gently to coat all pieces with juice.
04 - Thread one watermelon ball, one jicama cube, and two cucumber quarters onto each toothpick or small skewer, alternating the order as desired.
05 - Arrange the prepared skewers or fruit pieces on a serving plate. Dust lightly with chili powder. Garnish with serrano pepper rings and, if desired, drizzle with a splash of hot sauce.

# Extra Cooking Tips:

01 - For a less spicy version, substitute serrano peppers with jalapeños or omit entirely for a milder snack.
