Hawaiian Style Garlic Shrimp (Printer-Friendly)

Shrimp, garlic, lemon, and butter combine for a taste of the islands, packed with vibrant, savory flavors.

# What You’ll Need to Cook:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 454 grams raw jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
02 - 5 tablespoons olive oil, divided
03 - 4 tablespoons salted butter, divided
04 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
05 - Juice of 1/2 large lemon
06 - 0.5 teaspoon coarse Hawaiian sea salt or coarse sea salt
07 - 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
08 - 0.25 teaspoon paprika

# Steps to Prepare:

01 - Heat 4 tablespoons olive oil and 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat until butter is melted and mixture is warmed.
02 - Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant and just beginning to caramelize.
03 - Pour in the lemon juice, sea salt, black pepper, and paprika. Stir well, then add the remaining olive oil and butter. Continue to stir and cook for about 2 minutes to blend the flavors.
04 - Arrange the shrimp in the skillet in a single layer. Cook undisturbed for 2 minutes per side, or until the shrimp turn bright orange-pink and opaque throughout.
05 - Transfer the shrimp to serving plates. Spoon the pan sauce over the top and serve hot, ideally over steamed rice.

# Extra Cooking Tips:

01 - For optimal flavor, do not overcook the shrimp—remove from heat once they are opaque and pink to maintain tenderness.
02 - This dish is traditionally served with white rice; fresh cilantro or lemon wedges make a vibrant garnish.
