Easy Cheesy Pepperoni Stromboli (Printer-Friendly)

Layers of melty mozzarella, pepperoni, and marinara all wrapped in golden dough for an easy, cozy meal.

# What You’ll Need to Cook:

→ Dough and Base

01 - 450 g refrigerated pizza dough
02 - 15 g flour, for dusting

→ Sauce and Cheese

03 - 240 ml marinara or pizza sauce
04 - 200 g shredded mozzarella cheese

→ Meat

05 - 20–25 slices pepperoni

→ Finishings

06 - 1 egg, beaten
07 - 1 tsp Italian seasoning
08 - 15 g grated Parmesan cheese

# Steps to Prepare:

01 - Preheat oven to 200°C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Lightly dust the work surface with flour and roll pizza dough into a 25 x 36 cm rectangle.
03 - In a small bowl, beat the egg thoroughly.
04 - Spread marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a 2.5 cm border on all sides. Distribute mozzarella cheese uniformly over the sauce, then arrange pepperoni slices evenly atop the cheese.
05 - Starting at the long edge, roll dough tightly into a log, jelly roll-style. Pinch the seam firmly and tuck the ends under.
06 - Carefully transfer the stromboli to the prepared baking sheet, placing it seam-side down. Brush the top with egg wash, then sprinkle with Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese.
07 - Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the crust becomes golden brown and crisp.
08 - Remove stromboli from the oven and allow it to rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing into portions.

# Extra Cooking Tips:

01 - For a vegetarian version, substitute with vegetarian pepperoni or omit meat entirely.
02 - Ensure the stromboli rests after baking to make slicing cleaner and retain filling.
03 - Marinara can be replaced with pesto, Alfredo, or other pizza sauces to vary the flavor profile.
