01 -
Preheat oven to 175°C. Line a 23 x 33 cm baking pan with parchment paper, leaving a 5 cm overhang on the long sides, then grease with cooking spray. Prepare brownie batter as directed on box. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center yields moist crumbs. Allow to cool completely.
02 -
In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until smooth using a hand or stand mixer with paddle attachment. Gradually add powdered sugar and continue beating until combined. Incorporate vanilla extract, heavy cream, and salt. Adjust consistency by adding an additional tablespoon of cream if necessary. Mix in green food coloring until the desired shade is achieved. Transfer frosting to a piping bag fitted with a small open star tip.
03 -
Remove the cooled brownies from the pan using the parchment overhang. Cut into three long rows, then cut each row into six triangles, totaling eighteen pieces.
04 -
Trim candy canes into 7.5 cm pieces. Insert one piece at the base of each brownie triangle to serve as the tree trunk.
05 -
Pipe zigzagging lines of green frosting across the top of each brownie triangle and embellish with sprinkles to resemble ornaments.
