Candied Bacon BLT Sliders (Printer-Friendly Version)

Brown sugar bacon with lettuce, tomato, and mayo on toasted garlic slider buns. Sweet, smoky, and irresistibly crunchy.

# Required Ingredients:

→ Candied Bacon

01 - 8 slices thick, center-cut bacon
02 - 60 g dark brown sugar
03 - 1.5 g smoked paprika
04 - 1 g cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes
05 - 1 tsp freshly cracked black pepper

→ Garlic Butter Slider Buns

06 - 8 sweet slider buns (such as brioche or Hawaiian rolls)
07 - 50 g unsalted butter, softened
08 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
09 - 5 g fresh parsley, finely chopped

→ Sandwich Components

10 - 80 g mayonnaise
11 - 4 leaves iceberg lettuce, cut to fit buns
12 - 2 Roma tomatoes, sliced
13 - 0.5 g salt
14 - 0.5 g freshly cracked black pepper

# Step-by-Step Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 200°C. In a bowl, mix dark brown sugar, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and black pepper until combined. Place bacon on a wire rack set over a foil-lined baking tray, then coat both sides of each slice with the brown sugar mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
02 - Bake bacon for 20–25 minutes, turning slices after 15 minutes, until edges are dark brown and bacon is glossy and crisp. Remove to a plate; allow to cool to crisp further.
03 - Combine softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley in a bowl. Microwave for 20 seconds until partially melted, then stir to blend.
04 - Spread garlic butter on the cut surfaces of all slider buns. Toast buns in a large skillet over low heat, cut side down, until golden brown. Turn buns and toast the outer surfaces briefly until lightly browned.
05 - Slice Roma tomatoes into rounds. Season both sides of tomato slices with salt and black pepper.
06 - Slice candied bacon strips into thirds. Generously spread mayonnaise onto the bottom halves of the toasted slider buns. Top with a piece of iceberg lettuce and a slice of seasoned tomato.
07 - Place three pieces of candied bacon atop each tomato. Spread additional mayonnaise on the cut side of the top bun and set buns atop the sliders with toasted side facing out.
08 - Slice sliders if desired and serve immediately while warm.

# Handy Cooking Tips:

01 - For optimal texture, allow candied bacon to fully cool and crisp before assembling.
02 - Seasoning the tomatoes directly amplifies their flavor between rich layers.
