Baked Ham and Cheese Roll Ups (Printer-Friendly)

Soft rolls filled with honey ham, Swiss cheese, and mustard sauce for a buttery, savory crowd-pleaser.

# What You’ll Need to Cook:

→ Dough

01 - 240 ml warm water (about 38°C)
02 - 13 g granulated sugar
03 - 15 ml vegetable oil
04 - 9 g instant yeast
05 - 5 g salt
06 - 315 g all-purpose flour

→ Filling

07 - 450 g honey ham, thinly sliced
08 - 200 g Swiss cheese, shredded

→ Mustard Sauce

09 - 70 g salted butter, melted
10 - 15 ml yellow mustard
11 - 3 g dried minced onion
12 - 5 ml Worcestershire sauce
13 - 4 g poppy seeds

# Steps to Prepare:

01 - Preheat oven to 220°C. Grease a large baking sheet with non-stick spray and set aside.
02 - In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, combine warm water, granulated sugar, vegetable oil, instant yeast and salt. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms and pulls away from the sides. Dough should be smooth and elastic.
03 - Knead dough using stand mixer for 3 minutes. Cover bowl with a kitchen towel and allow dough to rest for 10 minutes.
04 - On a lightly floured surface, roll dough into a large rectangle, approximately 45 x 30 cm.
05 - Arrange sliced ham evenly over the dough, then sprinkle evenly with shredded Swiss cheese.
06 - Starting from the long edge, tightly roll up the dough into a log. Slice into 12 equal pieces.
07 - Place the rolls seam side down on prepared baking sheet, 3 across and 4 down. Cover with a kitchen towel and rest for 5 minutes.
08 - In a medium bowl, combine melted butter, mustard, dried minced onion, Worcestershire sauce and poppy seeds. Stir until well mixed.
09 - Pour mustard sauce evenly over the assembled rolls.
10 - Transfer baking sheet to oven and bake for 14 to 16 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown.
11 - Remove baking sheet from oven and let the rolls stand for 5 minutes before serving.
