01 -
In a small saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, crushed pineapple with juice, grated ginger, and soy sauce. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring constantly, and simmer for 2 minutes. Remove from heat and reserve.

Using a sharp knife, score the surface of the ham diagonally about 2.5 cm deep, creating a diamond pattern by cutting parallel lines 1.25 cm apart, then turning the ham and repeating in the opposite direction.
03 -
Place the ham, cut side up, on a large sheet of aluminum foil. Fold the sides of the foil up around the ham to form a bowl, ensuring a double layer to prevent tearing. Transfer to air fryer basket.
04 -
Brush half of the hot glaze over the ham, making sure to get into the scored lines. Fold the foil edges over the ham to seal completely.
05 -
Set air fryer to 150°C. Cook sealed ham for 20 minutes.
06 -
Carefully open the foil. Brush the remaining glaze over the ham. Reseal the foil over the ham.
07 -
Return ham to air fryer. Cook for another 20 minutes at 150°C.
08 -
Unfold foil to expose the top and air-fry for 3–5 minutes at 175°C, until caramelized.
09 -
Carefully remove the ham from the air fryer basket. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with pineapple rings as desired. Serve warm.
